Arnab Hazra received his BS and MS degrees in statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute Kolkata, India, in 2012 and 2014, respectively, and his PhD degree in Statistics in 2018 from the Department of Statistics, North Carolina State University, Raleigh, United States. Subsequently, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at KAUST, Saudi Arabia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur), India. His research interests include spatial statistics, extreme value analysis, environmental statistics, and Bayesian statistics. He has successfully participated in several data challenge competitions in spatial statistics and extreme value analysis. He has received the Director's recognition for teaching excellence every semester at IIT Kanpur. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Agricultural, Biological, and Environmental Statistics (JABES) and has been a reviewer for various reputed statistics journals.
