Dorleta Jimenez de Aberasturi

Dorleta Jimenez de Aberasturi is an Ikerbasque Research associate and Ramon y Cajal Fellow leading the Hybrid Biofunctional Materials group at CIC biomaGUNE (San Sebastián). She is an experience Material scientist holding a joint PhD between the Philipps University of Marburg (Germany) and the University of the Basque Country (Spain). During her research career she has acquired a broad expertise in the design, synthesis, functionalization, and characterization of nanostructured materials, mainly based on polymer-inorganic nanoparticle composite materials for diverse bio-applications such as biosensing and bioimaging. During most recent years she has focused her interests on the area of hybrid nanostructured biomaterials for dynamic 3D cell model fabrication.
